My in-person Tuesday Open Door is available by appointment only at the Metcalfe Office from 1pm - 5pm.
Please note, although the mask mandate has been lifted, my staff and I fully respect your choice, should you choose to wear a mask.
If you would prefer I wear a mask when we meet, please advise staff upon your arrival to indicate your wishes in order for us to accommodate your comfort level.
I am looking forward to seeing you!
When I was elected, I promised to provide my residents with some time each week to listen to their concerns and feedback.
Beginning in November of 2015, I started offering my "Open Door" every Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at my Metcalfe Ward Office. If you would like to speak to me , please email me at George.Darouze@Ottawa.ca or call to schedule an appointment to discuss any questions, concerns or just to say 'hi' and introduce yourself if we have not yet met.
I have heard tremendous feedback from residents about my Open Door initiative. Making myself available for an entire afternoon to discuss any ideas or concerns not only provides my residents with the chance to reach me on a more personal level, but also gives our community association representatives an opportunity to easily connect with me on their spare time, as most are volunteers. My Tuesday afternoons at the Metcalfe office have become a vital resource to the community, with hundreds of residents stopping in every year. The feedback and communication that takes place in Open Door is key to allow me to be a better city representative for Osgoode Ward!
The Metcalfe Ward Office is located at 8243 Victoria Street. If you are able to come in during my Open Door, I would love to meet you.
