Metcalfe Library Receives Renovations

Great news! Thanks to funding secured in the 2019 Budget, the Metcalfe branch will be getting renovations and improvements in the coming weeks. The branch will be repainted, receive new flooring, a new service hub, and updated furniture. The new layout will also improve accessibility!

This of course means some inconvenience as the Metcalfe branch will be closed during construction from Friday, April 26 to Friday, May 10 inclusive.

We were able to provide extra evening hours (5-8:30 pm) at Greely Branch on Tues, April 30 and Tues, May 7, during the closure for Metcalfe Branch. As well, there will be extra programs and outreach during this time period in Metcalfe, Greely and Osgoode:

  • Program - Sat, April 27th in Osgoode,
  • Outreach - Thurs, May 2nd in Metcalfe
  • Program - Sat, May 4th in Greely
  • Outreach - Fri, May 9th in Metcalfe

The Metcalfe library will reopen on Saturday, May 11. To access library services during the closure, you can visit the nearest branches either in Vernon at 8682 Bank Street or Greely at 1448 Meadow Drive. The book drop will be available in Metcalfe during the closure; and, as always, library items can be returned to any branch.
