Deadline for the 2019 Civic Events Funding Program


Today is the deadline for any applications for the City of Ottawa 2019 Civic Events Funding Program. This program can supply local non-profit organizations such as community groups and recreational groups with $3,000 in funding to put towards community events in local neighbourhoods within the City of Ottawa. The City asks that these events should include family friendly entertainment that appeals to the population of where the event is held.

Goals for Events

The funding program was created to to help support events that promotes friendly neighbourly interaction, a sense of community and provide a variety of family friendly activities that are appealing to many residents of a small, local community. 


The City will only support non-profit groups that operate fully within the City of Ottawa that is in good financial standing with the City of Ottawa. Additionally, the group must be managed by an active and local board of directors or steering committee, or is a local chapter or branch of a national or provincial organization. 

The event must take place within the dates of January 1, 2019 and December 31, 2019 to also be considered eligible.
